pie dough 4 to 4 pounds of baking apples 100 grams of light or dark brown sugar 100 grams granulated sugar 1/4 tsp fine sea salt

Ingredients

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp ground ginger 1/4 tsp ground cardamom 1/4 tsp ground spice 1/4 tsp freshly grated nutmeg

Use 2 Tbsp cornstarch or 4 Tbsp tapioca flour/starch 1 tablespoon butter 1 egg All these ingredients are needed to make Apple Pie Recipe

Make Apple Filling

Step 1

Peel the apple and cut it in half. Remove the core of the apple and cut the apple into thin slices.

Step 2

Take a big bowl and put apple pieces inside it and sprinkle sugar, salt, and spices on top and coat the apple slices well. Keep aside at room temperature for 1 hour

Prepare Pie Crust

Step 1

Roll the material to the dough, prevent the dough from sticking, and roll it from the middle. The dough dish should be larger than about 1 1/2 inches

Step 2

Keep the dough from spreading and place it in the pie plate. Trim the Verhanging dough to 3/4-inch from the dish's edge. Refrigerate while preparing the pie filling.

Step 3

Roll out the second part of dough to the same size as the first and place it on a large baking sheet coated with parchment paper. Store it in the refrigerator until required.

Prepare Oven

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F with the oven rack positioned in the center (200C).

Step 1

Mix cornstarch with apple, pack it into pie, fill apple until it slightly rises above edge of crust, don't add more apples

Assemble Pie

Step 2

Pour the remaining juice at the bottom of the bowl over the apples, do not over juice, 1/2 cup of juice will be fine. Cut butter into small pieces and pour over the pie.

Step 3

Cut the second pie dough into strips and mesh over the top. If you want, you can do it on the pie without the strip, just pierce it with the help of a knife to let the steam out.

Bake Pie

Now wrap the finished pie on parchment paper and bake for 75 minutes at 195 degrees Fahrenheit

Serve

Allow the pie to cool for at least an hour before carving. Before serving, reheat the slices in a 350°F oven for 5 to 10 minutes.
